| Business Development of Our Group |
Our Group was founded by Mr. Chen, Mr. Lam and Mr. Wong, all of whom have had many years of experience in the trading and leasing of vehicles, excavation machinery and heavy equipment used in civil engineering works and construction projects. Being familiar with the market conditions of equipment trade and being experienced in selling and leasing top-quality specialised vehicles and equipment to the mine operators in construction projects in Hong Kong, China and other Asian countries, Mr. Chen, Mr. Lam and Mr. Wong developed connections with mine owners/operators in the Philippines and factories in the PRC. They then decided to invest their earnings from their previous business to start an excavation business in the Philippines. In 2008, they established in the Philippines the company, PSURI, for carrying on the business of excavation, hauling and loading of nickel ore from mine projects in the Philippines. PSURI began its business operations in 2009 with its first contract with a mine operator for the provision of excavation and hauling services. Since one of the Directors, Mr. Wong, had expertise in the equipment mechanics aspect, PSURI was able to develop its own mechanical department to provide on-spot maintenance and repair services at the mine site. In 2011, the Group began its trading business in Hong Kong of excavated nickel ore from the Philippines to customers in the PRC. In 2012, the PSURI was engaged by a major mine operator to provide exclusive excavation and hauling services of nickel ore in Palhi, Dinagat Island. Since 2013, the business activities were expanded by the increased acquisition and leasing of equipment to optimise its excavation activities. The additional top-grade equipment and the sophistication in the excavation methods greatly increased PSURI’s production capability over the years. In 2015, the Group’s trading business expanded its nickel ore supply through the procurement of additional supply contracts with suppliers in the Philippines. |
